Finding people at sea isn't easy - without your help it's impossible!

Our brave volunteers donate over 307,000 hours every year to keeping New Zealanders safe on the water.  Help them out by making a donation today.

On an average day in New Zealand Coastguard sends out 10 rescue crews to assist those in trouble on the water.

That’s over 3,000 incidents every year, bringing home over 7,000 people who may not be with us today if it wasn’t for our brave Coastguard volunteer crews.

You can help too!

This morning, two lucky Coastguard supporters received some very good news!

With summer on our doorstep we are so excited to announce the launch of our latest boating safety initiative!

Labour weekend is when most kiwis head outside to enjoy our coastline and traditionally it’s a busy weekend on the water. Coastguard New Zealand encourages boaties to get prepared and check their boats before heading out on our seas, lakes and rivers.
Pub Charity has acknowledged the essential role that Coastguard plays in the lives of New Zealanders, announcing they will grant $100,000 toward ‘Marine 1’ - New Zealand’s only rescue vessel and marine ambulance which is to be purpose built to cope with Marlborough Sound’s unique conditions.
